Summer School is being offered for two different reasons at FHS:
(1) Students who did not pass their required STAAR / EOC exam (free)
Attending summer school for STAAR/EOC intervention may prevent loss of an elective option due to scheduling a required intervention course during the regular school year. In addition to the summer intervention classes, there are EOC retesting dates that are only for students who attended FHS in 2025-2026:
Tue, 6/16 - English I
Wed, 6/17 - English II
Thu, 6/18 - Algebra 1
Fri, 6/18 - Biology & U.S. History
(2) Students who were denied credit due to grades or attendance issues ($150 per course)
Attending summer school for credit recovery may prevent scheduling challenges during the regular school year, prevent losing freedom during your senior year, or even prevent a delayed graduation in some instances.
